Some of what you’ll do:

  • Facilitates and appropriately responds to internal/external audits regarding privacy program compliance
  • Develop and improve testing procedures to measure and enhance the effectiveness of privacy and security controls including automation
  • Partner with engineering teams to develop features in a way that upholds our standards in security and privacy
  • Assist with GDPR data maps and privacy compliance documentation
  • Develop standards, processes, and documentation to improve security and privacy practices including reviews, awareness, education and process controls
  • Maintains a solid understanding of Privacy regulation and the industry response to GDPR and incorporates best practices as they emerge
  • Provide subject matter expertise on a wide array of topics, initiatives and projects advising on federal and California state laws
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures and guidelines, and lead projects that ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Serves as subject matter expert to analyze, negotiate and manage all aspects of privacy and security contract terms and assists with development of contractual templates, tools, policies and procedures
  • Perform readiness assessments for compliance with industry privacy standards and certifications (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST Framework, FedRamp, SOC 2)


About you:

 

  • 4+ years of prior experience helping to manage a compliance program or in a role heavily focused on privacy or security compliance
  • Good judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to analyze and manage complex issues with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of IT, web technologies, mobile and connected devices
  • Demonstrates a working understanding of key data privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, CPRA) and their application to the aviation technology landscape
  • Must have the appropriate certifications in project management, data privacy and information security, such as CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, CISA, CRISC, or similar certification

 

Nice to have, but not required:

 

  • Recommend and prepare materials for board and senior management meetings
  • Experience with GRC tools (ServiceNow, RSA Archer) and privacy enabling technologies (OneTrust, BigID)
  • Microsoft Azure and/or AWS platform experience
